Perfectawash Update!
So like I said in my first impressions, PerfectaWash does a pretty good job of taking care of acne that has already emerged. However, as far as taking care of emerging acne, it fails. I went through a two week period where I had bad breakouts, and some under the skin acne. Perfectawash couldn't bring me back from that. I decided to go back to the Proactiv I had left when I set it aside to try the Perfectawash. I've been back on Proactiv for two days and my face is almost completely clear.
Bottom line: If you have something that works for you (proactiv, for example) I would not switch from that to the Perfectawash, no matter how less expensive it is. Find a product that can take care of acne that is on it's way, rather than just what's on your face.
Thanks for reading! Have a great day :)

First Impressions: Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse Foundation
So my curiosity got the best of me when I was browsing through Ulta a few days ago, and I had seen a video about on youtube. I just couldn't walk away, so I picked up the new Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse foundation in Vanilla (lightest shade) for 12.99.
I haven't used the original Photo Ready foundation, but like the rest of the world I have always been a big fan of Colorstay. So you shake the bottle, and the mousse like foam comes out. The stuff starts fizzing like a 5th grade science experiment. Never the less, I applied it with my knock off beauty blender (which is what I use every day). It looks like a heavy liquid or cream when it deflates. First problem is that the shade is too light for me, but they didn't have the 2nd lightest shade available. You have to blend quickly or you're kinda screwed. I ended up looking a little blotchy because I took too long. The coverage is moderate to heavy, it did an ok job of covering up my acne, but this stuff really accentuated the dry skin around my acne that is clearing up, so that wasn't pretty either. One of my biggest concerns was the "disco ball" effect that I've heard this foundation creates. I do notice some silvery shimmer when you look closely, but it's dampened if you finish up with a powder; it's definitely not as bad as I thought it would be. However, I definitely don't look 'airbrushed' either.
All in all, I'm not too happy about how much I dropped on this foundation in relation to the results. I do not see myself reaching for this product in the future because of blending difficulty and how it makes the dry parts of my skin look. I'll give this a few more shots and update if anything changes!

First Impressions: Clearasil PerfectaWash
So many of you have probably seen the Clearasil PerfectaWash reviews all over YouTube like I have. To my surprise, I managed to find one at my local drugstore. I was apprehensive at first, since all the reviews I had seen were sponsored, but after mulling it over, and being reminded by the packaging that it costs less than Proactiv (which is what I currently use) I decided to get it. The next surprise for me was that it was on sale for $15 rather than the retail price of $20. So there's 100 doses in each bottle, you get 2, so I can wash my face 200 times, plus the fancy dispenser, for $15. Seems like a good deal to me.
The setup was easy, batteries included. I decided to try the Super Fruit Splash wash for now. I like the smell, just a hint of fruit, and it lathers nicely. For me, the hands free dispenser makes it fun to use, and I can never be too lazy to wash my face. It lets out about a quarter sized drop per use. That's about what I normally use, so the whole 'perfect dose' business doesnt have any appeal to me. It does make my face feel dry after washing. If I don't moisturize, I regret not doing it. But it is not terribly uncomfortable. The most noticeable thing is that it made my skin SUPER soft. Even my boyfriend noticed a difference.
And for the most important part, what did it do for my acne? There's a claim on the box that results could be seen within 12 hours. I saw in change in maybe 3 of my pimples out of about 15 in 12 hours. I've had it for a little less than a week now, and it's done pretty well for the acne I had, however, it has not stopped new pimples from forming. Also it hasn't done anything for my stubborn blackheads.
So all and all I'm not sold on PerfectaWash just yet. I love how soft my skin feels after using it, but it's too soon to see what it will do for my acne. I will be doing an update next month to see if my acne has improved. Here's a link to amazon if you're interested in this product. I bought this with my own money and Clearasil doesn't even know I'm posting this.
